Bobby Ray Doddy

Mr. Bobby Ray Doddy was born May 2, 1938 to Mr. Haze Doddy and Mrs. Sedalia Hopkins Doddy in Gilmer, Texas. He was a member of St. Merner Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas and attended Gilmer High School.

His hobbies were gardening, hunting, and fishing. His family was his top priority in life. He loved being around his children, grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren as well as other members of his family.

Mr. Doddy passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at his home in Upshur County. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends. He leaves to mourn his passing, four daughters, Debbie Davis and husband, Samuel, of Gilmer, TX; Wilma Lavonda Farley of Gilmer, TX; Rhoda Hashaway and husband, Johnny, of Pittsburg, TX; Yuvonda Brown and husband, Marcus, of Hughes Springs, TX; four sons, Tony Ray Doddy, Bobby O’Keith Doddy, Antonio Doddy, and Anthony Doddy, all of Gilmer, TX; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma T. Doddy, parents, Haze and Sedalia Doddy, two sons, Timmy O’Neil Doddy and Bobby Arnez Doddy, and all of his sisters, brothers, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
