Brenda’s life began on March 5, 1951, to the parents of Wesley Ivory and Charlie Mae Searcy Ivory in Pittsburg, Texas. She attended Douglass Elementary School and later went on to attend college at East Texas State College. Brenda attended North Main Church of Christ in Gladewater, Texas. Brenda had an amazing voice and was a songwriter and playwright. She was a world class Pac Man champion and pool shark. Brenda’s smile would illuminate a room and she had a frown would make a person straighten up quick. Brenda had an unmatched talent of taking care of her loved ones. She was honoured to do that with the love of her life, her husband, Larry Eugene Evans, who she married on January 19, 1971.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Larry Evans, Sr.; three children, Larry Evans, Jr, Kenisha Odoms, and Cameron (Kathyrn) Ivory; grandchildren, Tyron Evans, Aaron Evans, Randy Odoms II, Lauryn Odoms, and Brandi Odoms; sisters, Linda Hale, Carnetha Ivory, and Wesley Nance; brothers, Robert Searcy, Eugene Searcy, Robert C, Ivory, and Gary Ivory. Brenda leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Charlie Mae Ivory and siblings, Charlie Searcy, Maurine Carlock, Theodore Searcy, Mary Ivory, Wanda Nnadozie, and Raymond Searcy.
