Cecil Palmer Obituary

Truth-Seeker, Teacher & Dreamer

Cecil Rolando Palmer was a passionate and principled truth-seeker, teacher, and lifelong dreamer. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith in God, thirst for knowledge, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Cecil Palmer was born on September 30, 1968, to Richard White and Maria Palmer in Mount Pleasant, Texas. To his family and community, he was affectionately known as “RoRo”—a curious soul with a warm personality and contagious laughter.

His childhood was filled with the simple pleasures of life. Surrounded by supportive aunts and uncles, he spent his days hanging out with cousins, skipping rocks, and playing baseball in Pittsburg community leagues. Baseball was his first love and athletic outlet, a sport he enjoyed playing with his cousins and friends.

In 1982, Cecil and his siblings joined their mother in Dallas, TX, where they first settled in the Lake Highlands community and attended high school. He made lasting friendships there. Later, he moved to southern Dallas and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School, where he was a proud Golden Bear.

Dreamer & Entrepreneur
After graduation, Cecil embraced his newfound independence and quickly sought to become self-sufficient. He often tinkered with out-of-the-box business ideas, sketched inventions, and even started a mobile car washing business.  Cecil always dreamed of being an entrepreneur, breaking away from the traditional 9-to-5 job. While he grew into management at United Parcel Service (UPS), he attended Northlake College and earned an Associate’s degree. Staying true to his entrepreneurial dreams, Cecil transitioned into real estate, which allowed him to shift his career from distribution to sales and property management. For several years, he worked for Pace Realty as a leasing and property manager for luxury apartment communities in the DFW area. Drawing from this experience, he started HomeLife Locators, a boutique apartment locator business. Prior to his passing, he launched HomeLife Services, an eCommerce brand, selling a variety of household items, including wine (something he personally loved).

Teacher & Fatherhood
Cecil was a proud father to Cecilia, Nyne, Noble, and Nevin (affectionately called NP3). His children were born into an abundance of love with his former spouses, Uneeta Palmer (2007-2021) and Felecia Morris (1995-2001).  Without a doubt, “Daddy” was his favorite title, and fatherhood was his greatest joy. Cecil was deeply passionate about his children’s growth and guidance, cherishing their “Bible study couch time.” He loved being their first teacher, guiding them in a protective and proactive way to help them navigate life’s challenges.

Truth-Seeker
Cecil was a thinking man, always delving into complex topics and challenging conventional wisdom. His quest for knowledge was never-ending, driven by a mission to uncover the truth in all things. His favorite subjects ranged from the life of Jesus Christ and religious history to real estate, entrepreneurship, and alternative healing remedies. Cecil was an avid reader, amassing a vast collection of books, yet his Bible was always within reach.

Cecil’s passion for learning was matched only by his enthusiasm for sharing his insights with others. He loved engaging in spirited discussions, debating ideas, and exploring new perspectives with his “each one, teach one” approach.

Cecil’s life was one of faith, curiosity, and love. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the dreams he pursued.  He is survived by his mother, Maria Waters; former spouses, Uneeta Palmer and Felecia Morris (Monte); sons, Nyne, Noble, and Nevin; daughter, Cecilia Palmer-Ajayi (Tolu); step-children, Jessica, Edward, Alex, and Alexis Andrews; brothers, Basil Mitchell (Santrecia), Rodney Palmer, Richard White; sisters, Angela Hopkins (Calvin) and LaTara Palmer. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard White, Sr., and brother, Richard White, Jr.

He leaves behind a village of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends who will cherish their memories of him.
