Emerson Peoples Jr.

Emerson Peoples Jr. was born March 17, 1960, in Pittsburg, Texas to Emerson and Edgie (Johnson) Peoples. He passed away, peacefully, on December 25, 2024, in Paris, Texas.

At an early age, Emerson was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Texas. He was a graduate of Pittsburg High School, Class of 1978. He was a hard worker and was formerly employed at Lone Star Steel Co. and retired from Campbell Soup in 2016. He was currently employed with Kimberly Clark. He was married to his former wife and mother of his children, Betty Hargrave. He liked watching the Dallas Cowboys games and his favorite show was Judge Judy. He also loved his Corvettes. Emerson was a dedicated father and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Edgie Lee Peoples, sisters, Bettie Aldridge, Dorothy Johnson, Rubynell Peoples, Linda Jo Cooper and his brother Charles Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Katandra Peoples of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Emerson Jay Peoples (Misty) of Paris, Texas, Leshekia Payne of Rowlett, Texas, Sharmeca Mason (Chris) of Paris, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his sister Sarah Aikens of Houston, Texas; his brothers Willie Peoples (Barbara) of Houston, Texas, Larry Peoples of Houston , Texas, Robert Peoples (Carla) of Galveston, Texas, Kenneth Peoples of Paris, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
