Mrs. Everene Reed Bogan was born December 27, 1935, in Annona, Red River County, TX to the parentage of the late Dave Reed and Gladys Oneta Rose Reed. She attended Annona Public School and was valedictorian of her graduating class.
Upon marrying the love of her life, the late Willie Bogan, she moved from Annona, TX to Pittsburg, TX. To this union, 3 daughters were born. She joined St. Beulah C.M.E. Church, where she remained a member until her transition. She loved to sing and was in the choir. She was the church secretary and class leader. After “her girls” all started school, she held a number of jobs, including private home, school cafeteria and hospital cafeteria.
Left in God’s care and to cherish her loving memory: 2 daughters, Beverly Luster- Rodgers and Linda Bogan, both of Pittsburg, TX, 1 grandson, Roderic Luster of Pittsburg, TX, 1 great-granddaughter, Ajalah Luster of Hallsville, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews, plus her adopted daughters at Pittsburg Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Machelle Ann Bogan.
