Frenchie Nell Wilkerson was born October 21, 1953, in Pittsburg, Texas to the late Winfred Turner and Mary Ross. She attended school in Pittsburg Independent School District. Frenchie Nell was employed as a Certified Nurses Aid at Pinecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for many years. She was a faithful member of Carter Temple CME Church where she sang in the choir. Frenchie Nell LOVED her family. She loved being around her family and having family gatherings. She enjoyed sewing as a pastime. Frenchie Nell is preceded in death by her parents: Winfred Turner and Mary Ross and grandmother: Henrietta Askew.
Frenchie Nell leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband of 51 years: L. C. Wilkerson, Sr.; Children: Kimberly “Mare” (Dave) Ross-Manning, Frank “Markeith” (Ayana) Wilkerson, Sr., Bryan “Toodie” (Teresa) Wilkerson, L. C. “June” (Precious) Wilkerson, Jr., Gerord “TwoBae” (RoTisha) Wilkerson, DeMarcus “DeDo” Wilkerson and LaKendrick “Bup” Wilkerson all of Tyler, TX; 23 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; sisters: Ann Mitchell (Dallas, TX), Diane Turner-Espritt (Mt. Pleasant, TX), Delores Turner–Newman (Springfield, IL) and Sharon Turner Hobbs; brothers: Maurice (Helen) Mitchell (Pittsburg, TX), Lafayette “Butch” Turner (Pittsburg, TX), Jerry Turner (Pittsburg, TX), Keith Turner, Eric Turner, Marvin Turner and Tina Turner (Pittsburg, TX); 1st cousin: Deborah Turner Hines; and a host of other relatives and friends.
