Katherine Allen

On March 4, 2023, Sister Katherine Allen made her transition to be with our Father in Heaven.

Sister Allen was born August 7, 1932, to the parentage of S.G. Duffey and Orine Hollins. She attended Leesburg Public School and was a faithful member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Leesburg, Texas. She was a God-fearing woman, who loved God. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cooking. Her favorite hobbies were tending to her flowers and gardening.

Her former husband was Morise Allen, who preceded her in death. To this union, seven children were born. 

Sister Allen passed away Saturday, March 2, 2023, at Focused Care at Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She leaves to mourn her passing five daughters, Bobbie Nell of Dallas, TX; Margaret Allen of Pittsburg, TX; Linda K. Johnson (Cedric) of Longview, TX; Selena Isome of Houston, TX; and Orine Hamilton of Pittsburg, TX; two sons, Quinlin Allen (Ruby) of Pittsburg, TX; Johnny Allen (Thresa) of Leesburg, TX; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister, Pinkie Lene Kennedy of Dallas, TX; brother, Hiram Wilson (Alice) of Mesquite, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Morise Allen; parents, S.G. Duffey and Orine Wilson; great grandchildren, Jakeris Allen and Myncall Terry; brothers, Sam Duffey, Allen Hollins (Bo), Tom Duffey, and S.G. Duffey, Jr., and sister, Alice Hollins (Pig).
