Ladetra Yvette Bradley, lovingly nicknamed Tunie by her grandmother Aline and affectionately known as Dee to many, was born July 12, 1971 in Pittsburg, Texas to James and Gladys Faye Brown.
Ladetra happily spent her entire life in Pittsburg, where she was raised by her grandmother Aline Birdine, whom she always referred to as moma, who instilled in her a strong devotion to God. Her final place of worship before her illness was Prayer Garden Church of God in Christ in Cason, Texas. After graduating from Pittsburg High School in 1990, Ladetra earned an Associates degree from Northeast Texas Community College and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Certified Nurse Aide. She dedicated 22 years to Pittsburg Nursing Center, showcasing her unwavering commitment and strong work ethic. She was a current employee at both PNC and PISD as an Aide at the time her health failed.
Ladetra's love for her family knew no bounds, and being a mom and grandma to her sons and granddaughters brought her immense joy and pride. Her favorite pastimes included shopping with Mariah, traveling, field meets, and attending blues concerts; she was always enjoying life. As a proud member of The Street Heat Club and a cherished friend to the 'Baddies,' Ladetra's social life gave her happiness and joy.
Ladetra's memory will live on through her sons, Demarquaz Bradley and Jamarian Hill, both of Pittsburg, Texas; granddaughters Mariah, Blair, and Durrani, all of Pittsburg, Texas; father and stepmother James and Mary Brown of Ft. Worth, Texas; siblings, Teresa (Carl) Horne, Debbie Crishon, and Kevin Brown and one aunt, Dorothy Birdine of California. Many family members, friends, and coworkers will miss her earthly presence.
Ladetra was preceded in death by her mothers, Aline and Gladys and her brothers James Brown Jr. and Michael Brown.
She will be buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery with a repass being held at Douglass Alumni Community Center.
