Larry was born on September 27, 1949, to the parentage of Charlie Hashaway and Lizzie Bell Bolton Hashaway in Pittsburg, Texas. He attended and graduated from Douglass Elementary School in Pittsburg, Texas. Larry was a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Texas. Larry took pride in providing for his family and loved his grandchildren dearly. Larry passed away on May 30, in Tyler, Texas.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn Hashaway; children, Larry Hashaway, Jr. of Irving, Texas, Calvin (Miranda) Hashaway of Longview, Texas, James (Frances) Cheatum of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Gwen Hashaway Harper of Pittsburg, Texas and Fran Roberts of California; grandchildren, Cenitra Mitchell of Rockwall, Texas and Chase Harper of Pittsburg, Texas; brothers, L.C. Hashaway of Jacksonville, Florida, K.C (Kenyetta) Hashaway of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Gertrude Hashaway of Dallas, Texas, Velma Hashaway of Dallas, Texas, and Judy (Willie) Simpson of Clarksville, Tennessee. Larry leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lizzie, siblings, Billy Hashaway Sr., Roy Hashaway, Charlie Mae Hashaway, Ma Bell Hashaway, and Artie Mae Harris, grandparents, Edith Crowder, Mattie Wade, Walter Bolton, and Johns Hashaway, and Aunt Ozzie Spencer.
