Lenzie Jennings was born on July 18, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Buster “Cat” Jennings and Loretta Falls Jennings. Lenzie accepted the Lord at an early age and was a member of New West Chapel CME Church, Leesburg, Texas.
Lenzie was a graduate of Pittsburg High School, Pittsburg, Texas Class of 1978. He enjoyed watching sports and western movies. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Lenzie dedicated 20 years of faithful service to the city of Dallas, Texas, where he worked diligently and took pride in serving his community.
Lenzie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Geneva Jennings, his beloved children, Loretta Jennings, Antonio Jennings, Reniecee Jennings, and Tequila Warren (Lenord); he is also survived by his siblings: his twin brother, Dewayne Jennings, Sadie Sayles, Ebbie Jennings (Ruth), Tommie Jennings, Bennie Jennings (Carrie), Loretta Gadlin, Robert Jennings (Pam), and Albertine Jennings-Fearrington (Melvin).
His legacy will continue through his cherished grandchildren: Marquaous Grant, Kylstajia Grant, Marcus Moton, Jr., Sa’Niyah Jennings, Denver Lafayette, Lenord Warren, Jr., Braxton Jennings, and Maverick Warren.
He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Skylar Grant and Majik Johnson, and one maternal aunt, Doris Coleman, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Though he has departed from this earthly life, the love, wisdom, and memories he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Loretta Jennings, sister, Nona Faye Rush, and his brother, Buster Jennings, Jr.
