Leo Ivory was born February 15, 1953, to Jewel Ivory and Birdie Mae Ivory in Pittsburg, Camp County, Texas. He was widely known by his nickname, “Meatball”, as his friends would call him. He graduated from Frederick Douglass High School and was a member of North Chapel C.M.E. Church, Pittsburg, Texas. He was a truck driver for Pilgrim Pride. He loved being around his children, grandchildren, sister, brothers, and other family members. His hobbies included hot rodding, fishing, watch wrestling matches on television, and a little gardening. Leo passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at UT Health East Texas-Pittsburg.
He leaves to mourn his passing, three daughters, Linda Allen, Renita Ivory, and April Ivory of Pittsburg, TX; two sons, Gary Ivory of Desoto, TX; and Cedrick Ivory of Pittsburg, TX; grandchildren, Christopher Allen, Khari Williams, BraShaylia Rockwell, Adrauis Ivory, Adarian Ivory, and Kimora Puckett, four great grandchildren, one sister, Ola Mae Heath of Pittsburg, TX; four brothers, Robert Randolph, Jewel Ray Ivory, Richard Dean Ivory of Pittsburg, TX; and John Ivory and wife, Beverly of Grand Prairie, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carol, children, Buford Lee Ivory, Kim and Kimberly Ivory, granddaughter, Kianna Williams, parents, Jewel and Birdie Mae Ivory, aunts, and uncles.
