Ray Charles Lewis was born January 1, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to the parentage of the late Charles Lewis and Annie Mae Lewis.
He attended Mt. Pleasant Independent Schools, Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Mr. Lewis was a handyman, and had a passion for cooking and cleaning.
On March 6, 2015 he married VernettaGoodwin-Lewis. He was a faithful member of Oasis Baptist Church, Al Lipsomb, Texas until his death.
On September 15, 2023 Ray Charles answered his Master’s call, he turned and left it all.
He leaves to mourn his memories a son, Marcus Lewis (Shantrell), a daughter, Camesha Allen, and seven grandchildren.
Siblings, Charlene Lewis, Bonnie Heath, Debbie Lewis, Larry Lewis, Edward Smith, Margie Walker (Fred), Terry Heath (Coffee), the Turner sisters.
He also leaves to mourn his memories: Jed Rockwell and family, and Goodwin and family. A special thanks to Annie and Bobby Hall, and a host of loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, father, Charles Lewis, mother, Annie Mae Lewis, brother, Elton Lewis, wife, Vernetta Goodwin-Lewis, and nephew, Donathan Jeffery.
