Raymond’s life began on September 17, 1954, to the parentage of Wesley and Charlie Mae Ivory. He attended Douglass Elementary School and later transferred to Pittsburg High School, graduating with the class of 1973. After graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corp. Raymond, better known as “Dad”, attended Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg where he served as a Deacon. Raymond loved being in the presence of family and friends and will be greatly missed by many. He left his earthly life on November 6 at Lakeview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Winnsboro, Texas.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memories, four brothers; Robert Earl Searcy and Eugene “Scooter” (Joann) Searcy of Pittsburg, Texas, Robert Charles “Bear” Ivory of Mineola, Texas, and Gary (Christie) Ivory of Red Oak, Texas; four sisters, Linda Searcy of Tyler, Texas, Brenda (Larry ) Evans of White Oak, Texas, Carnetha Ivory of Longview, Texas and Wesley Jean Nance of Pittsburg, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Charlie Mae, brothers, Theodore Searcy and Charlie E. Searcy and sisters, Maurine Carlock, Mary Ivory, and Wanda Nnadozie.
