Ronald Lawton

Ronald Keith Lawton was born February 23, 1959, to O.W. Doddy and Lizzie Lue Cheatum. He was raised by his grandmother, Lizzie Mae Simmons. He grew up and attended school in Pittsburg, Texas and later joined the Army and served his country. Ronald would later marry Libby Myers. No children came from this marriage. He worked many years for Pilgrim’s Pride and enjoyed fishing and sports. He mostly enjoyed watching his team, the Dallas Cowboys. Ronald died January 24, 2023, in Pittsburg, Texas.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memories, one son Brandon Lafayette; four grandchildren Braeden, Zakaedyn, Zion, and Kingston; sisters Donna Craddock, Tynia Lawton, Helen Ray (Rickkey), Mary Ruth Woods (Mickey), Shawnita Emery Doddy, Wendy Emery Doddy, and Jacqueline Kemp Doddy; Brothers, Otis Wesley Doddy Jr,(Stephanie) and Billy Doddy (Kay). He has a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Ronald’s parents, his stepfather J.C. Cheatum, brother Wayne Doddy and brother-in-law Richard Craddock, all proceeded him in death.
