Ruby Faye Harris was born on January 16, 1962 in Quanah, Texas, to Reuben and Tessie Williams. Ruby Faye Harris(61) peacefully passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her home in Pittsburg, Texas. Faye was in the Winona High School graduating class of 1981. At an early age, Faye joined New Zion Baptist Church in Winona, Texas. After moving back to Pittsburg, she became a member of Faith Building Ministries. Faye was a pillar of the community lending a helping hand wherever she could.
Her personal interests included attending the many activities that her children and grandchildren participated in. She was their number one fan. The love and support that Faye had for her children and grandchildren was unconditional. She praised them all and made them aware that she was proud of them. Faye was a phenomenal woman and overcame any obstacle that challenged her in life. She was a warrior for her children, and will forever be admired by them for displaying the strength of a mighty conqueror and always being their Super Hero.
Faye was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter and friend. She had a nurturing spirit and always had a smile on her face. Faye is survived by her lifelong partner James King, her two sons; Demarcus (Valerie) Harris and Rickey Duffey, one daughter; Shanequa Harris, four sisters; Linda Williams, Pamela Williams, Theresa Williams-Jones, Saundra Dillard, and a bonus dad, Johnny Brown . She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a special cousin, Patricia and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Faye is preceded in death by her mother Tessie Williams, father Reuben Williams, eldest son Richard Harris, and a grandson, Gavin Duffey.
