Mr. Rudolph Burns was born June 12, 1943, to the parentage of Mr. Flanard Burns and Mrs. Myrtle Heath Burns in Pittsburg, Texas. He graduated from Frederick Douglass High School and was a deacon at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, Pittsburg, Texas.

He was married to Ms. Cora Jean Cheatum, who has preceded him in death. He loved his children and grandchildren. Mr. Burns passed away November 3, 2023, at Pleasant Springs Healthcare

Center, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Sharla Cheatum of Pittsburg, TX; sons, Carrington Burns (Lauren) of Pittsburg, TX; James Cheatum (Frances) of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Jerry Burns of Tyler, TX; special granddaughter, Mykia Burns, and other loving grandchildren, DJ Webster (Hailey) and Semaj Johnson, six great grandchildren, a loving sister, Mildred Curley of Pittsburg, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
