Shanaida Michelle Jordan, lovingly known as “Naida” was born on September 7, 1986, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Eddie Charles Jordan and Jennifer Lynn Wilkerson. In 2005, she graduated from Mount Pleasant Hight School and obtained a scholarship from Henderson State. Shanaida accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Shanaida was known for her ice, kind heart and friendly spirit. She loved her family! She was funny, extremely outgoing, slick at the tongue, bold, jiggy, and loved playing cards and dominos; always stylish, God fearing, highly intelligent, LATE and about to PULL UP!
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Julius Clarence and Vinnie Mae Jordan and Aunt Althea Jordan.
Shanaida leaves to cherish precious memories her father and mother, Eddie and Jennifer Jordan of Dallas, Texas; her son, Torionte Franklin of Tyler, Texas; two daughters, Xanarhia and Xanayla Hall, and son Rondo Jackson of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings: Danielle Doddy of Mesquite, Texas and Julius Jordan of Dallas, Texas. Her maternal grandparents; Robelia “Patsy” Allen and Weldon Wilkerson both of Mount Pleasant, Texas. Uncles; Michael Jordan of Duncanville, Texas, Eldrin (Deborah) Jordan of Longview, Texas; Larry Aikins of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Kerwin (Jackie) Aikins of Red Oak, Texas; Durell Wilkerson of Dallas, Texas. Aunts; Michelle Smith of Pittsburg, Texas, Michelle Jordan and Demetria(Terry) Tankersley of Mt. Pleasant, Dureen (Earnest) Fuller of Mt. Pleasant and Jolanda (Rodney) Turner of Woodbridge, Virginia and a host of cousins and dear friends.
Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.
