Terri Ann Fletcher, 62, was born on December 21, 1962, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, to Terry C. and Elizabeth Lewis Doddy. Terri grew up in Upshur County and was the eldest of seven children. Terri's early education began at Gilmer Elementary and continued through high school, where she graduated from Gilmer High School in 1981. Terri accepted Christ at Saint Merner Baptist Church at an early age and later attended Pine Bluff Baptist Church. She pursued her career as a nurse's aide at Pittsburg Nursing Center. Later married Victor Fletcher, Sr. From their marriage, they were blessed with three sons, Christopher Fletcher, Cedric Fletcher, and Victor Fletcher, Jr. She enjoyed traveling and growing flowers. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas, and worked at Woodhaven Assisted Living, then moved to Oklahoma and became an assistant nurse at Sherman Hospital. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and worked at Southminster Head Start, and then moved back and worked at Pilgrim Processing Plant in Pittsburg, Texas.
Terri is survived by her husband, Victor Fletcher, Sr. of Longview, TX. Two sons: Christopher Fletcher of Georgia, Victor Fletcher, Jr. (Nadine) Fletcher of Longview, TX. Her mother, Elizabeth Lewis Doddy of Pittsburg, TX. Four sisters: Teena Doddy of Pittsburg, DeRosea (Dewone) McDaniel of Fort Worth, TX, Sherry Davis of Euless, TX, Eyvonne (Sammy) Kennedy of Spring, TX. Two brothers: Donald Doddy and Cesar R. Doddy, both of Pittsburg, TX.
Godsister, Dorothy Fields Grant. Two aunts: Jewelene Jackson, Brindle (Dan) Danzey of Fort Worth. Special friend, Michael Tompkins. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Proceeded in death by her son, Cedric Fletcher; father, Terry C. Doddy; grandparents, Alma D. Philips, Coy B. Lewis, Haze and Sedalia Doddy; Great-grandparents, Parthenia and Burton Lewis; nephew, Brian Doddy.
